Who we are.

Let me introduce you to the two-man team excited to get working on this project.

Benjamin Prescott

He is passionate about using his work to inspire people to spend more time outside doing what they love. His adventures have been documented widely online for over ten years. THE PITCH

THE BIG IDEA

Over the past year, we have been been realizing there is a massive opportunity to connect the lower parts of Canada to the Northwest Territories via the Mackenzie Highway (Highway 14) and the Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk Highway (ITH/Highway 10). Every year, Canadian and American tourists already drive all over Canada on holiday. Since these are two of the most amazing routes you can take in the world, we believe they could be shown in a new light and perspective through photo, video and written word, making them a serious option for these travellers.

The idea would be to have Ben explore from a base in Yellowknife, documenting his journey and experiences along the way through photo and video and blogging. We envision two parts to the trip. Part 1 key destinations/experiences from a base in Yellowknife would include: Prince of Wales Cultural Centre, Jolliffe Island Colourful Houseboats, Aurora Village OR Blachford Lake Lodge, Nahanni National Park Reserve, Wood Buffalo National Park OR Mackenzie Bison Sanctuary. Part 2 would have him land in Inuvik, explore Inuvik, drive the Inuvik to Tuktoyaktuk Highway (ITH/Highway 10) documenting the journey, experience the End of the Road at the Arctic Ocean, as well as everything else Tuktoyaktuk has to offer.

They would explore each area through hiking, guided tours, local eateries and fun lodging in each area. We want to capture how Ben explores these areas in a natural and organic way. Part of what we want to do as well is have Ben experience the various Indigenous nations be that through tours, cultural centres or cuisine. He has always been fascinated by the intersection between challenging climates and the peoples who call them home, and is excited to learn about these ways of life and experience them for the very first time.

The idea would be to tell the story of the whole trip through various mediums to reach different demographics, different social media groups and different marketing angles. Ben would focus on photography, and sharing through his various social channels and capturing candid moment through stories on his phone. Geoff would focus on documenting his travels through video, interviewing him along the journey and capturing the real emotions, feelings and experiences as they happen.

We believe that we could capture a natural story of an explorer experiencing a once in a life time trip through some of the most beautiful places in northern Canada that would encourage and promote travel to Yellowknife, the northern Arctic Ocean region, and NWT as a whole.
