Let me introduce you to the two-man team excited to get working on this project.

 

Benjamin Prescott

As a lifestyle and adventure photographer, Ben loves sharing about a life lived outdoors through his platforms. He is passionate about using his work to inspire people to spend more time outside doing what they love. His adventures have been documented widely online for over ten years. These experiences have led him to the locations of some of his most iconic images, which have now been seen around the world.

Geoff Heith

Geoff is a cinematographer and photographer from British Columbia. Currently residing on the far north end of Vancouver Island, he loves working in the outdoors and creating videos and photos for tourism boards and other adventurous brands. He works primarily in the tourism space.

THE PITCH

 

THE BIG IDEA

There is a perfect opportunity here in the mountains of BC to show off the capabilities of an electric vehicle that is up to the task. With British Columbia’s growing charging network, this has never been more possible - and now it is not just possible, but would make for an easygoing and adventurous road trip.

The idea would be to have two friends, Ben and Geoff, explore the “Sea to Sky” region from a base in Vancouver, documenting their journey and experiences along the way through lifestyle photo and video content. We envision three parts to the trip. Part 1) Fishing - the Squamish and Pemberton River Valleys are prominent fishing spots. Part 2) Camping - endless options are available for camping in the Sea to Sky. Part 3) Discovering the best views in the Sea to Sky by taking a gondola, hiking, and driving back roads.

They would explore this unique landscape of BC through the perspective of an electric powered road trip, stopping to fish, camp, see amazing mountainous scenery, and enjoy local eateries and fun lodging in each area. We want to capture how the team explores these areas in a natural and organic way.

The idea would be to tell the story of the whole trip through various mediums to reach different demographics, different social media groups and different marketing angles. Ben would focus on photography, and sharing through his various social channels and capturing candid moment through stories on his phone. Geoff would focus on documenting his travels through video, interviewing him along the journey and capturing the real emotions, feelings and experiences as they happen.

We believe that we could capture an authentic story of a once-in-a-lifetime trip through some of the most beautiful places in western Canada that would encourage and promote recreational travel via Honda EV.

The Trip - Vancouver to Lillooet and back. 502 kilometers total. 4 - 5 days.

The stretch from Pemberton to Lillooet - some of the most scenic roads in the country.

Over the last 10 years, the two of us (Ben and Geoff) have been working hard using our various skill sets to work with a number of tourism boards and brands. Between us, we’ve worked with tourism boards such as:

  • Hello BC, Tourism Northern BC, Travel Alberta, Tourism New Brunswick, Bonjour Québec, Tourism Prince George, and Travel Alaska to name a few.

We’ve also worked with major brands such as:

  • Eddie Bauer, Fujifilm, Western Digital, Mercedes-Benz, Intel, and many more.

We are trusted and hired to work with these organizations because of the stories we can tell through written mediums and visuals ones in photo and video. The stories we tell are ones that are genuine, from the heart and always with the spirit of the place and product we’re capturing.

We blend our styles from high quality lifestyle content, mixed with top-tier cinema work. We believe this gives companies many options in how they want to share the content we create with their audiences and allows for a more immersive experience.

INVESTMENT & DELIVERABLES

WHAT IS IT GONNA BE?

 

The deliverables would be as follows from Ben:

  • After the trip he’ll do a “5 Reasons to Road Trip in a Honda EV” on every channel he operates

  • 3 reels on his Instagram, one per activity (also shared via TikTok and YT Shorts)

  • 2 photo carousels on his Instagram - also shared via TikTok

  • 3 cinematic long-form YouTube video posts, one per activity

  • Newsletter highlighting the trip to his subscribers

  • 20+ images provided per activity

  • 100+ images from whole trip (wide variety of images)

  • Downloadable web size photo content 

The deliverables would be as follows from Geoff: 

  • 2 Minute highlight video per activity/unique location with Ben narrating experiences

  • 30 second vertical video of each activity

  • 3-5 min wrap up video

  • 10 x 15 second one shot clips per activity/unique location for socials

  • 50+ photos (lifestyle shots)

  • Downloadable web size photo content 

 

The estimated cost for our package would be $20,000.00 CAD (plus tax) for our services. This does not include travel, accommodation and meals.
